Storage temperature reference chart
Use this chart as a documentation aid when assigning freezer locations and receiving notes. It is not a stability study, not a Certificate of Analysis, and not permission for human or veterinary use. Catalog defaults often list −20°C for lyophilized solids — your lot record or institutional SOP still wins when they differ.

Lyophilized research materials are commonly stored at −20°C, protected from light and moisture, unless a product page or lot record states otherwise. Keep containers sealed until needed for laboratory workflows.

- Inspect packaging integrity before discarding outer cartons
- Record lot numbers against the purchase document
- Open the batch verification or Research Vault record when available
- Move materials into appropriate laboratory storage promptly

Documentation practices
Store temperature location, receipt date, and lot identifiers with the experiment series that will consume the material.
